1st-Year Bulgarian
6 Weeks in Pittsburgh
The SLI Bulgarian program is offered in an in-person format that can sometimes accommodate online, synchronous participants. Applicants will be asked to indicate their preferred format in their application.
Bulgarian at the beginning level taught at the SLI provides the equivalent of one academic year's worth of study.
Bulgarian classes will meet Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 2:50 pm ET for 5 academic hours per day with a break for lunch. In addition to intensive language classes, students also attend Bulgarian films, lectures on politics and culture, and activities featuring Bulgarian culture on topics such as art, music, movement, and cuisine.
