BCMS Pittsburgh + Montenegro Program

1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th-Year BCMS

10 Week Hybrid Program: Pittsburgh + Cetinje, Montenegro

Students may add a 4-week abroad component onto the 6-week domestic BCMS program. The abroad portion takes place at the Faculty for Montenegrin Language and Literature in Cetinje, the beautiful formal royal capital of Montenegro. While there, students will continue their intensive language classes and also participate in an extensive excursion and cultural program. Previous destinations during the abroad portion of the program have included Lovcen, Petrovac, the ancient Roman settlement of Duklja, and an optional trip to Dubrovnik. Upper-level students who would like to do only the 4-week abroad portion (and not the 6-week domestic portion) of the program should write to program director Dr. Kathleen Manukyan manukyan1@pitt.edu to discuss eligibility and the application process.
